Change condition or extend your stay as a visitor

If you 1) are in Canada as a visitor with a visitor visa (i.e., a temporary resident visa), an electronic travel authorization (eTA), or a valid passport or travel document and 2) want to extend your stay in Canada as a visitor (stay in Canada longer) or change their permit type from a study permit/work permit to a visitor record, contact FCB Immigration, we will help you apply for a visitor record at least 30 days before your current status expires.

Notes: A visitor record gives you a visitor status in Canada and allows you to stay longer. However, a visitor record is NOT a visa and does not guarantee that you can leave and then re-enter Canada.
