You and your intention
You are the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada and you are a genuine visitor to Canada – i.e., you have strong ties to your home country and will leave Canada by choice at the end of your visit

Your child or grandchild
Provide a signed letter from your child or grandchild inviting you to Canada and detailing their promise of financial support for the length of your visit, number of people in the household of this person, and Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document as required by IRCC.
Other proof
Have proof of paid medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company for minimum of 1 year from the date of entry and minimum of $100,000 coverage

Apply from outside of Canada
Not include any dependents in your application
Take an immigration medical exam and are not inadmissible to Canada
